RLSH Work: Issue Awareness

Issue awareness RLSH strictly show up to raise awareness of their one focal issue.

These RLSH have become extremely passionate about a single issue.  There are focused and general which may look like environmentalism in general (general) or a very specific region/topic within environmentalism (focused).  Nothing is wrong with either.

Common issues for awareness:

  • Environmental

  • Domestic violence

  • Women’s rights

  • Minority rights

  • Parking issues

  • Recycling

  • Blood drive

  • Driving under the influence prevention

  • Air quality

  • Restoring ocean life

  • Ocean pollution

  • Climate change

  • Addiction

  • Save the bees

This type of work is best handled with social media and a website.  You may want to amp up your communication skills.  When you are doing any issue awareness work, make sure you get photos, video, and are able to write up a killer post about it.

Another aspect of this work is to network with experts and groups in your area.  Be open to podcasting (either your own or being on podcasts), the news, and speaking to people/groups about the issue at hand.  This will require you to remain well informed on the issue at hand.

Make sure your uniform reflects what your issue for awareness is.  You want a high quality suit that is flashy and definitely says “superhero”.  You will also want to have superhero social media accounts and possibly a website/blog.

What To Expect:

  • Gain followers through a superhero social media account

  • Communicating with others on the issue

  • Attend rallies and gatherings where you can bring issue awareness

  • Put on a positive attitude with social media

  • Talk and network with experts and ask to share their knowledge via social media or blog or podcast
