Stun Tools

ree

RLSH are typically not interested in lethal weapons. Instead, the use of non-lethal tools is preferred. Stun tools are one item that is often considered. What are stun tools? What are the legalities of stun tools? Where can you find them online?

Left to Right: stun gun, taser, stun baton.

Stun Gun - A stun gun requires direct physical contact between the stun gun and assailant.

Taser - A taser is technically a type of stun gun, but it fires barbed hooks attached to lines to provide distance between user and assailant.

Stun Baton - A stun baton offers a number of defensive tactics since it operates as: club, stun gun end, and often features a light (flashlight, strobe, etc).

  • Poor Skills - If you do not practice with a stun tool, you will lack the proper skills to effectively use it.

  • Baton As Club - Stun batons can be used as a club, which could be regarded as assault unless only used as a defensive measure.

On an entire other note, if you are an RLSH, please take a moment to fill out this RLSH 2025 Demographics Survey. It's anonymous. Just looking to gather some general information to study (data analysis is just something I like to do). It will probably end up becoming an article in the future.
